i liked the mood used in .hack//SIGN a lot, it was very sad, and amazingly complex. i understood it, but only because i've seen it like... 3 times (i can normally only stand to watch an anime once, any more and i feel that i'm wasting my time.)
i never got into .hack//legend of the twilight bracelett. it seemed childish and annoying, with the older brother infatuated with his younger sisters sprite... (makes me hate men even more for their pig headedness.)
.hack//roots was amazing to me, and i really sympathized with haseo. somehow, though, i went seemingly unconcious during the last few episodes and lost all of the ending plot, because i cannot remember anything... (i must have been data drained. thats the reason.). i read on wiki the summary of the games plot though, since it was detrimental to the storylines overall. haseo was a good guy until the very end. and thats where i started to loathe him (its like red hot sand in my muscles whenever i think about it... which is often... like... daily.)
.hack//liminality was interesting... but just a bit boring at the same time. there wasn't much actual acion in it, nor was there heartbreaking depressing... SADNESS... it reminded me too much of a mystery/detective anime... i didnt care for it, but i actually watched it, unlike .hack//legen of the twilight bracelett...
so yes, thats my review of the four. if i am somehow dead in the head and living under a rock and there's a fifth one (i dont think there is...), please inform me so i may squee once more... but either way, what do you all think?
