Name:Kimimela Class:Macabre Dancer Location:Large Clearing in a forest Forecast:High winds Challenger: Calligatio
Kimimela, wanting to see what the arena was about, was signing up for a casual match. “Are you entering by yourself? The man at the counter asked. “Yes, can you line me up with another single entry? I'm not expecting to go far.” “Sure, there are a few people of your level also entering solo. Let me see.. Yes, entry number thirty-four is solo and is categorized as a challenge but you shouldn't get overwhelmed. Your match starts in an hour, so come back then.” He explained. Kim thanked her, and decided to go over to the main town and see the shops before she went back. I hope this isa good idea. Oh well, either way I'm not here to win I'm here to learn, so.. Her mind wandered as she walked off into the shops area.

((Can you please post the stats of the match? The ones listed in the Arena Rules! post)) Name:Caligatio Class:Flick Reaper Location:Large Clearing in a forest Forecast:High winds Challenger:Kimimela ((I'll fill in the rest when you put your info in your post)) Cali finished registering at the counter, under the name "Schoolgirl Justice," and walked over to green warp device and warped into the waiting room. In the real world Chase lit up a cigarette and took a long drag before balancing the remainder of the cigarette on the edge of his ashtray. One of Cali's new friends, Storm Sheppard, had suggested that she fight in the arena, and she wanted to get used to the feel of PvP before fighting alongside the Demon Palace Emperor in The Pretty People team."Alright, this is it. The mail I received said that someone had requested a match with me and that it was at 4:00" Chase looked to the top right corner of his vision at the digital time display 3:55...It should begin soon.

Kimimela returned to the Arena just in time for the match to start. She handed in her receipt and went through the warp gate to the holding room. She looked at he opponent. Hmm.. flick reaper... hopefully I can outrun the humungous scythe. They're the same level than me and everything. Too bad I can't see the username. I'll figure it out once I get in to the arena. She finished off some last preparations, adding sleep to her fan's slot and anti-curse to her armor's slot. She had nothing for her other equipment, unfortunately. She then went through the gate.
The birds chirruped and she heard some cicadas in the trees around her battle area. The sun was bright, and the wind ruffled her hair and dress, making her shimmer. Cathy loved the environmental conditions of The World. I can have it ruffle my hair it it never frizzes... ah, paradise.. She readied her stance as she saw her opponent warp in on the opposite side of the clearing. Here we go. She readied her Dek Corv to imbed in her fan once the battle had commenced.

Caligatio warped into the arena and looked about the beautiful scenery, she didn't even notice Kimimela standing across from her, and let out a low "aaaaahhhhhh" in wonderment of the forest. When she finally looked ahead she spotted Kimimela and her draw sort of dropped open, hanging almost like a door on a broken hinge.
"You!? You're my opponent?" Cali said with shock in her voice. She hadn't expected another member of The Pretty People to be here so soon after meeting, and it was just her luck to be caught in a fight with her new friend. "Well...I guess there's nothing we can do about that huh? teehehe." Caligatio giggled and knelt down on the ground, she hauled her arm back and the plunged it into the earth with all her might, the earth slip where her hand entered it and she grasped something under the surface. Cali looked up at Kimimela and gave her a sly grin. The hole she had made in the earth was now spouting flames and an orange glow emanated from within, Cali pulled hard on the object she had grabbed and a large scythe slowly emerged from the earth, magma and fire still dripping off of it. Once Cali had the entire thing out of the ground she gave it a sharp flick with her wrist and flung the magma and fire to the forest floor where it fizzled out of existence. Cali then spread her feet and held the scythe behind her, readying herself for a large circular slash. The scythe looked to be made out of dragon scales, and the scythe blade was more like a bunch of jagged teeth on the underside of a dragons skull, the scythe ended in a large dragons claw and was wrapped up in the center with bandage cloth. Cali held the thing with both hands as she shouted to Kimimela "Let's make Sheppard proud! Then she rushed at Kim, hauling back with the scythe and letting go with a 360 degree spining slash once she was in range.

Kim was at an equally surprised state as Cali when she entered the arena. She also found the irony quite funny. All right, no hard feelings afterwards, OK? She called, tensing for her strike. As Calligatio pulled out the scythe from the ground, Kim's grin became wider. Atta girl! Your weapon is perfectly inbalanced against your character's look. I'll never underestimate your shy voice again. She finished her Dek Corv imbed and quickly crouched below Cali's Scythe as it swung towards her, haivng to go almost onto all fours. The blade went inches over her head. However, she hadn't fought many flick reapers before and noticed the incredible range of her weapon a new challenge. She'll have to use her speed to her advantage. Either that, or I'll wait for that silly girl to use a skill. I read up on how arena battles work – I hope she did, too. Or do I? She thought with a slightly sadistic smirk. Once the blade had passed, she used that time to rush towards Cali while she finished her circle. She swiped once, twice with her fans. Only one hit, and I can get off one spell without causing a counter, at least...

Caligatio was quite shocked when Kim was no longer as tall as she remembered and her scythe passed right over Kim's head. huh..wha? What happened? as Cali was trying to figure out where her opponent had gone she felt the impact of the first blow bite into her side, just where her ribs began. Cali gave a small squeak as she felt the impact and swung around, bringing her scythe in a wide arc, starting close to the ground and rising upwards as she made more horizontal movement. The movement helped Kim's second strike bite into Cali's abdomen, just above her naval and Cali ground her teeth as she felt the blood begin to leak out of the second strike which was noticeably deeper. Cali noticed that her arms suddenly felt odd, as if she had fallen asleep on them and the tingling hadn't gone away yet. Because of this peculiar feeling she wasn't able to swing her Scythe with her full force, but the fact that her full force was quite strong she wasn't too concerned about the loss of strength.
As soon as she had finished her first slash Cali spread her legs into a more stable stance and hauled her scythe over he shoulder like she was readying a baseball bat for a homerun. Chase watched the small bar on his screen fill as he readied his charge attack, and as soon as the flashing begun he released. Cali brought the scythe in front of her and made 2 full 360 degree spins with her scythe held at full range. The powerful strike created a shock wave that encircles Caligatio and went from the ground to her waist, and as far out as her scythe's reach. Anyone caught in the wave would be pushed away and take repeating damage until they were clear of the wave. Cali didn't even wait for the wave to dissipate to attack in the direction of Kim, swinging twice, trying to back her into the nearest tree.

Kim was glad she got her spell off, now things won't be too bad off. Or, at least, that's what she thought for half a second. She wasn't expecting such an all-encompassing attack from Cali when she swung her scythe for the 2 circles. She was hit by the first one quit badly, the force pushed her to the edge of forest, banging off a tree. It was quite fortunate that her flowing dress was such a sail-like cloth, for she wasn't actually hit by the blade itself, just the force of the wind behind it. Her torso screamed in pain for seconds, and she actually winced in real life. Her health metre took a decent dent, it down to ¾ health. The second attack missed since she was thrown out of range. She needed to try something quickly, something less melee based. I know, a spell! Zan Rom! She called, using her fans to whip the red circle at Caligatio. She's small and she has that big scythe.. I doubt she can dodge that... Kim thought, running after the spell to try and get in and get some more hits while Cali wasn't swinging the blade in her general direction. She would do another two swipes before quickly running back out of range of the scythe again.

((btw the reason I don't make mention of the two slashes is because I wasn't sure if you'd still follow through with them, You might dodge my rengeki and therefore no be in range to swing so...yeah, and if you didn't dodge you'd be pushed away by the skill, so still not in range. yeah...that was my reasoning))
Cali was kind of disappointed that her charged attack hadn't hit as many times as she'd hoped but she sucked it up and quickly closed the few feet she had forced between kimimela and the end of her scythe, thankful for all the points she had put into her movement speed. The grass beneath her feat tore upward as she vaulted herself forward and one of the swift gusts of air caught and quickly blew them into the darkness of the forest. Cali's earlier disappointment was lifted a little as she heard the name of a spell being shouted out. She quickly countered the spell with her own skill and shouted out the name as she initiated the attack.
"Rengeki: Wicked Strike!" Cali's voice echoed with the demonic intonation that usually accompanied such a maneuver. She hauled back her scythe and let it swing, but this time she kept the shaft close to her body and released the pole when she had made a full swing, she stayed facing Kimimela but the scythe continued around her body like a hula hoop until she caught it once again in her outstretched hand. Even if Kim dodged the skill, the rengeki would cancel the spell she had cast and Cali was grateful. She had encountered spell casting monsters in the field and she knew that her frame didn't do too well with magical damage, she was also glad that she had forced kim away from herself before she had had the chance to fire a spell at her, Cali's reflexes weren't the best and if the spell had been cast from a closer range cali was doubtful she could have reacted in time. Just great, my first time in the arena and I'm against my newest friend...and she's a spell caster no less...Well, at least I don't think she read the manual, or she'd have known about Arena rengekis so that's in my favor. Cali hauled back her scythe again and let fly another horizontal attack aimed at Kim's legs, at the end of her slash she spun the scythe pole (reversing the direction of the blade so that it pointed at kim again) and took a second slash aimed at her chest. Each swing felt like it wasn't as power as Cali would have liked and she began to wonder what Kim had done to make her arms feel so funny. She also regretted having taken two slices to the chest, as they were quite annoying and every time Cali twisted her body to get more power in a swing they bled a little more.

Kim saw her counter, and heard it, too. Crap. She DID real the manual. She tensed, waiting for her to come a little closer. The rengeki allowed her a boost in speed, but she timed it just right to jump above her scythe. That thing may be humungous, but it keeps quite a constant level off the ground. She caught a tree and bounced off of it, landed behind the small girl, the jump clearing her head by mere centimetres. She slashed only once at her body, knowing the buff spell would refresh if she hit. Not waiting to see if it hit, she ran off to twice the girl's distance in reach. She must think I'm a noob now, using a spell. Well, then she might just use one of her own to get in close since she doesn't know I know how to counter yet. She stayed at that distance for the moment, trying to gauge what Caligatio's next attack would be.
