--=News Feed=-- Recently a new contender in the gaming peripherals market has emerged. Syntech Studios has just released their first product and it set to give the older models a run for their money. The new product, nicknamed "SID" is a combination game controller and view display. The technology was patented just last year by a promising student at Tokyo University of Technology. The technology involves a small electromagnetic pad being placed on each temple and relies on reading the synaptic signals that emanate from the brain. Some are calling this new technological wonder dangerous because it intercepts these signals and is able to give back signals of its own, but gamers around the world are heralding it as future of interfacing with technology. | "It's just great, Everything feels so much more real. I can feel the rain on my skin, the grass underfoot. and I have so much more control over my character" said an enthusiastic young player of Cyber Connect's worldwide sensation: [The World]. |

This thing is great, I just bought mine yesterday and am thrilled with it. It makes the experience a lot more realistic and was defiantly worth the money paid. It was a little more expensive then my old M2D at $450 American, but I am extremely pleased with the product. The goggles make use of synaptic wavelengths to increase the player feedback effectively eliminating that nauseating sensation from the old goggles, as well as they give you so much more control. I can't recommend them enough, they are a must buy!

I don't know...I just see too much potential for disaster if I were to have one. I'm already distracted enough when it comes to my regular headset, no need to go and add even more of an assault on my senses when I've already burned my dinner more times than I can count.
And I know that there are safety mechanisms in place, but I'd just feel uncomfortable suddenly being able to see and feel everything in a game where I could get impaled on giant spikes regularly.
...That and I'm totally broke right now. ^^;;
