Storm Sheppard was running around Lumina Cloth screaming at the top of his lungs. He was actually timing how long it took to get from the arena to the chaos gate and back again. The little timer on his visor indicated that it was only taking him forty five seconds. Being a multi-tasker of sorts, Storm Sheppard wasn’t just screaming randomness, he was proclaiming.
I’M BORED! CHALLENGE THE DEMON EMPORER! He was shouting, flailing his arms like a lunatic. He was repeating his run and shouts a couple of times. The sight was a little distracting to most of the people milling about in the area, but Storm Sheppard paid them little enough attention. Really he was only going to stop if somebody stopped and challenged him. Well, he was going to run along as long as his attention span was going to allow.

Camax Warped into Lumina Cloth and looked around, he had heard a few people in Mac Anu talking about some crazed fool running about screaming at the top of his lungs and Camax had a pretty good Idea of who it could be. He spotted Storm Sheppard running in the opposite direction and gave a small smirk, Camax quickly ducked behind the save shop and awaited Storm Sheppard to return back to Camax's end of Lumina Cloth. He planned to raise his arm at the last moment and clothesline the foolish daemon emperor Silly bugger, I'll get him this time, and after that I'll accept his challenge...I can feel it, this is the day I finally bring him down. A wide grin grew on Camax's face, to any observer it looked like he should be tapping his fingertips together and saying "good, good...excellent" in an evil tone

Storm Sheppard ran up to the registration booth like he had done so many times before while building up his rank to become the demon palace emperor. It was very nostalgic, despite the fact that he was still running around screaming at the top of his lungs. He ran up the wall of the reception desk, around the warp point and back down to street level to make this his seventy fifth lap. There were a few other people running at this point as well, probably thinking it was some kind of quest or maybe they were just bored as well. Either way, Storm Sheppard frog leapt a beast man since somewhere around lap seventeen he resolved to not go around people anymore, and landed close to the save shop where a very familiar arm was outstretched waiting for him. Storm Sheppard was aghast with glee since this marked the end of his parade of screaming. He was still running however, and despite whatever kind of arm was there, Storm Sheppard refused to get out of the way.
He ducked low and put his hands up, grabbing hold of the arm and swinging like it was a monkey bar. Storm Sheppard completed the swing by landing on the outstretched limb like a bird perched upon its seat. He looked over to Camax, the man whose arm had become an impromptu chair.
Howdy Camax! I take it you heard my commercial then? Storm Sheppard grinned, the grin was so evil that passers by may expect him to tap his fingers together saying “good, good… excellent” in an evil tone.

Camax gave a large sigh as Storm Sheppard perched on his arm. He kept his arm out as he came out from behind the save shop and headed towards the arena. He felt like a falcon trainer carrying some kind of giant condor with a mental disability. Then again, maybe today isn't the day.
"Yeah, how couldn't I? for lords sake Sheppard there are people on every server talking about "that lunatic in Lumina Cloth" It'd be hard not to realize it was you. So how about it, you up for a match?" As Camax climbed the steps with Sheppard on his arm he caught something odd out of the corner of his eye. There was a group of three people all dressed in black leather and sunglasses. Their outfits had a definite steam-punk feel, but Camax thought they may have thrown in too much of an old movie he had seen called "The Matrix" and it was all made very cluttered with each of them wearing about 10-15 belts around assorted body pats. They were staring at him and Sheppard. Now this would not normally be anything new, Camax and Sheppard together was usually an odd sight to behold, but these three were only looking at Sheppard. Camax recognized the look in these guys eyes, they were sizing Sheppard up, trying to gauge his strength. Who in the hell do these friggers think they are? looking at Sheppard like that...They wouldn't even be a challenge for me, let alone Sheppard... Camax bent his arm at the elbow, bringing Sheppard closer before whispering to Sheppard. "Looks like we might have to postpone that match till later. You up for a little two on three action my friend?" without waiting for Sheppard's approval Camax turned toward the three men and stated in a loud gruff voice. "What're you chumps looking at? You think you got what it takes to go toe to toe with the Deamon Emporer, Don't make me laugh. I'd crush you three by myself, but I wouldn't want Sheppard here to get all pouty just because I left him out of the fun again." Camax waited, with Sheppard on his arm, for their response.

You're so considerate man, I hope you know I appreciate our friendship. Storm Sheppard said in a relatively loving tone that may or may not have utterly destroyed any dramatic tension built up by Camaxs' speech. He took his time climbing down from where he was perched, landing unceremoniously on his behind and facing away from his would be combatants.
Ya, he looks so terrifying. One of the leather clad individuals said in a bored tone. The center man raised an eyebrow, and then his sarcastic team mate clenched his jaw in a grimace.
We will accept your terms. The two of you against the three of us for the crown. The center man said in a serious tone, apparently addressing Camax.
Actually... Storm Sheppard said loudly, throwing one hand up from his seated position. You won't get the Emperor title unless you beat me in a tournament match. I'll take any challenge, but it would be for glory or bragging rights only I'm afraid. He looked back to the trio, his neck craned to look behind him. The rest of his body followed in something of a roll that took him back up to his feet. He walked briskly over to Camax and put an arm around the man's shoulder. So, if you're all ready, let's get this party started!

Camax fought the urge to slam his face into the palm of his hand and heave a large sigh. Instead he figured he save the slamming of faces for the three cocky buggers in front of him. The three men looked at each other when Sheppard mentioned that it would only be for bragging rights and glory, and Camax would be a little disappointed if they dropped their nerve now instead of on the field where he could grind their faces in it.
"C'mon Sheppard, these scumbags aren't worth our time. They'd probably just start crying as soon as I unsheathed Falling Mountain anyways, not even worth our time to consider a fight." Camax hoped they were quick to anger, ad he wasn’t disappointed.
"Listen here you big ape" it was the one in the middle, the tallest of the three... "I don’t walk away from a fight for any reason! We'll show ya who’s the big crybaby 'round here, Wont we boys?" The other two men nodded their heads and got thin grins on their faces. Camax began to clap slowly and imitated crying, wiping a non-existent tear from his eye.
"That... That was touching! Oh Sheppard, these boys are so determined perhaps we should give 'em a chance eh?" Camax stopped his fake crying and straightened up, making himself as big and as intimidating as was possible. His next word were spoken much more like his normal self; strong, gruff, and blunt. "At least then they'll know what it's like to be utterly humiliated in front of a crowd of thousands. We’ll be waiting in the arena..." Camax took a deep breath as he turned around and readied himself for what he was about to say. God damn it Sheppard...sometimes I really hate you... As Camax grabbed Sheppard by the collar and dragged him towards the counter he shouted over his shoulder. "We're team Ultra Kitten, you can't miss us. Ranked #1. Can't wait to see you on the field." God damn it...

Storm Sheppard looked through the list of possible arena positions. He had only tried a couple of the possible location settings since they had been instated. He did like the idea though, and there were literally hundreds of terrain possibilities! Some of them were impressively large as well, spanning entire districts of Tokyo! He was feeling somehow very goth-steam punk today (a side effect of his opponents perhaps?) and settled on a city theme. There were plenty to choose from, and you could even set the time of day or weather. The customization was really impressive, and Storm Sheppard took a full fifteen minutes thumbing through all the possibilities until he finally settled on a city scape resembling his own neighborhood in San Diego. It was to happen at night time during a clear moonlit night with no people and a generally cluttered street.
Alright, I think I've chosen! Anybody want to say different? He said, a wide and genuine smile pointed at his increasingly impatient looking friends.

Camax's face broke into a wide grin as Sheppard chose the battle field. He kept looking over his shoulder at the three leather clad men that were now his opponents, his mouth almost salivating at the thought of a good fight alongside Sheppard.
"Yeah Sheppard, that looks good, now lets give em some time to pray before the match." With that Camax turned towards the green transfer orb and activated it, going into the small sterile waiting chamber to wait for their que to enter the arena. Camax waited until he heard the sound of Sheppard warping in as well. "Alright Sheppard, are you ready for this? It's been a while since we fought on the same side hasn't it...been a long time since the last tournament..." Camx almost sounded serious, almost insightful until. "I hope you've been keeping up, I don't wanna have ta' carry around all the weight just cause you've gotten lazy on me? Try to keep up eh? Camax broke his serious tone and clapped Sheppard on the back with a wide grin. "Now lets get ready to do some damage! Same strategy as the last tourney bud? You herd em towards me so I can get a few decent hits off, and also make sure your flock doesn't get away on you. Heh, sound peachy? Camax headed towards the second transfer gate and cracked his knuckles. "I hope they're done prayin' cause it would take a miracle for these three to win. With that Camax reached out and activated the transfer orb, porting into the arena.

Ya! I’m an elephant! Storm Sheppard shouted, throwing himself over to walk on his hands. His feet flailed widely in the air for several minutes as the laughing insane man got his balance and started stumbling around the arena admin area. He managed to meander his way over to the brightly shining green orb and gave a slight ‘whoof’ noise as the glassy green sphere punched him in the stomach as Storm Sheppard fell over onto it. He gave a wave over to the three opponents and they seemed to do their best at ignoring the frantic movements of the arena emperor as they moved over to the green orb on the opposite side to Storm Sheppard. They all vanished with a simultaneous hum and flicker of lights. After the dazzling array of flashes had concluded, Storm Sheppard found himself sitting on his shoulders, his neck awkwardly supporting his body, preventing him from falling over onto his belly. The Mohawk seemed unruffled by the strange position.
Now I’m upside down. He grinned, his eyes narrowing to crackling slits as he smiled brightly. He listened as Camax recounted their strategy and Storm Sheppard gave little enough indication that he was paying attention. He was playing with his toes, interlocking them and twisting them around as he bent over and around. Eventually he moved his neck such that he toppled over, flipping into something that seemed akin to a cross legged position. He was staring at the green orb as Camax finished his little dialogue. I like peaches. He smiled as Camax vanished. Storm Sheppard followed, dipping his head such that his foremost Mohawk spike touched the orb.
He found himself sitting on a car on the edge of the street, looking over to a store that sold dresses he found very gawdy. He took solace in the fact that the horrible fashion pieces may be the casualties of his battle with the three pass-times that had challenged them. He saw the three equally fashion deprived individuals appear on the opposite side of the street, flashing in riding consecutive green spirals.
GWAAAAH!! Storm Sheppard shouted, leaping from his seat, cracking the darkened windows on the red sedan. A flash of white came from behind him as Storm Sheppard pulled Blitzkrieg out from the nowhere it spent most of the time. The twin blades at either end of the staff sparkled to life as lightning danced along their edges, a trail of bolts followed him as he flew through the air, screaming wildly. He landed almost two feet in front of the ring leader, the man already pulling his weapons out. Storm Sheppard jumped clear over the man and landed on a light pole, and he twirled Blitzkrieg around, sending the two blades on either end out wide, connected to the body of the weapon by long streams of electricity. It was as if a massive propeller made of light started up just behind the three fighters, all of whom jumped closer to the middle of the street. Run little monkies! He shouted, jumping down to the street, sandwiching the group between himself and Camax.

Camax had a very wide grin on his face as he watched Sheppard and the others warp into the field. Camax had been teleported into the middle of the street before any of them and had used that time to take in his surroundings. hmmm, Sheppard actually chose a good place this time...the alleyways are so thin they'd have to single file through 'em, there's building as obstructions to stop them from running too far to either side, and this street is just wide enough that if I separate Falling Mountain it shouldn't get caught on anything more than a car... Camax watched with interest as Sheppard started his usual shenanigans. Camax knew that his own lack of speed meant that chasing them himself was out of the question, so he wait for the group to come to him, which they promptly started to do as the giant lightning propeller drove them forward. Odd...You'd think that.they'd have unsheathed already...oh well their loss. With this Camax reached behind his back over his shoulder and grabbed a hold of the nothingness that was there, in his hands the air flashed white and Camax pulled hard to bring forth Falling mountain from its mystical hiding place, as Camax used his own shoulder as a point of leverage the bright flash of light subsided and the weapon was now fully materialized, this allowed Camax to move it much more easily and it flung over his shoulder and hit the pavement in front of him, creating a long dent of cracked pavement where it had struck. Camax's head hung low for a second, and he looked at the three guys with a smirk as if looking over the rim of glasses he wasn't wearing. He reached up and grabbed hold of his goggles with one hand and lowered them over his eyes before returning his grip to Falling mountain. Wouldn't want any shrapnel getting in my eyes... Camax watched as all three of his opponents looked over their shoulders to keep an eye on Sheppard,...at the same time."Bad move..." Camax held falling mountain horizontally and charged his force through his legs into his arms and let loos with a might slash. The first two managed to dodge, but the third caught the blow square in the gut and was sent flying through the display of a nearby dress shop, miraculously missing all of the garish dresses on display. Camax grinned and readied himself for another attack when he noticed that the other two seamed to have gained their wits, they had formed back to back and each reached into their clothing and produced a weapon. From where he stood Camax could only tell what the one facing him had brought out, it was a set of exotic bladed tonfa (for reference see Here) They were made of entirely black metal polished to a mirror finish, but the only thing that reflected in them was Camax's face looking back at him, his face battered and bruised and one of his eyes swollen and purple. Camax shook his head to clear the image from it, but it seamed to stick on his screen, detracting him from the battle at hand. Camax raised his sword above his back for a second strike when he suddenly saw the red rings under his feet and he looked to the window, standing there was a man with his hand out, and green flames snaking around it, this is when Camax realized that he couldn't hear anything either, which explained how he missed the spell being cast. Damn it, what the hell is this...It might be part of this guys weapon effect, crap, how do I counter this there's no time for me to get to him with a skill...I hope Sheppard isn't suffering the same effects as I am right now.

Storm Sheppard felt a pang of worry for Camax as the spell rushed past him. Camax wasn’t the swiftest of unholy terrors, but the fact that he didn’t try to evade the red ring made Storm Sheppard wary for the effects of the trio’s weapons. He had a fairly low defense himself, and didn’t want to have to be put in an awkward position.
Storm Sheppard jumped straight upwards, hooking his blitzkrieg on the lamp he had just jumped off from. He swung on the thing, gaining some momentum before the blade cut through the metal of the light pole and he was sent careening backwards. He let out a little scream as he fell to his rear and landed unceremoniously in the dress shop window with the opposing teams spell caster. He twirled around after bouncing from his butt and lashed out at the leather clad shadow warlock with his tazer edged weapon. He wanted to get this one out of the way first since the magicians were the most dangerous when he was partying with Camax, and it was hard to cast spells when you were sent flying all over the battle stage. The warlock managed to duck under the attack and block the second strike with his grimoire that looked like a book that was chained open and mounted on an obsidian spear. Thankfully, Storm Sheppard was an expert in the field of his weapon and hooked the shaft of the spear with his lightning edged blade that adorned the tips of his weapon. He pulled hard and then pushed forward with his weapon, ramming the tazer into his chest. The warlock went crashing into the wall of the store display case before getting a second attack that blew him back to the street where Camax would have another crack at him. He was going to go join him when he was hit in the side by one of the trio. The man looked as if he had barbed wire wrapped around his fists, and Storm Sheppard though tribal grappler. He pole vaulted out of the window and over the barbed wire street fighter only to notice a small drop in his health every time he moved. When he landed between the prone warlock and the barbed brawler, he took a look at where he had been hit. His torso has a ring of barbed wire wrapped around it, and every time he moved his midsection there was a small drop in his health as the spurs on the wire scraped against his skin. This wouldn’t even tickle Camax. Barby over there is assigned to me… these guys are tailored to us. Storm Sheppard thought, trying to put some pieces together.
He sent a short message to Camax telling him about what he thought. These guys weren’t just ‘punks’ trying to get some glory, they were out for their blood and had planned this encounter. He also made reference to Orzo, god-demon of kittens, but that was out of habit. He moved past the warlock who was still getting to the ground. He reported what he had found about the tribal grapplers’ ability and asked if Camax had any info to share as well. He stood next to Camax, watching as the group of three pulled themselves back together.
Fine, I didn’t want to but I’ll be serious for this since you guys don’t seem to be interested in just having some fun. he said, his eyes crackling expression of seriousness as he adopted a formal stance with his scythe. He hooked a finger around the barbed wire that was wrapped about his waist and pulled the thing off with a notable drop in his hp. He didn't care though, it wouldn't be going down anymore anyway.

Sheppard was fast and on the ball, as usual, but unfortunately for Camax it just wasn't enough. The Ground Erupted into columns of granite and they formed a cage around Camax, quickly tightening until they cracked and shattered against his skin. His headset relayed the pressure to his muscles and he lout out a huff of breath at the force as his HP bar dropped to the 3/4 mark.
Holy hell, what the hell is going on
as he was tying to figure things out he received the message from Sheppard and the true clout of the situation dawned upon him. This wasn't a game any more; now it was business.
"Sheppard, I can't hear a thing, my whole headsets gone silent. I think it has something to do with the twin blade"
Camax regrouped next to Sheppard as the three leather clad men smirked to themselves, they stood shoulder to shoulder and the warlock brushed tiny pieces of broken glass from his shoulder.
"I hope you've had your fun boys... cause this just went from bad...to apocalyptic. and when this apocalypse has ended I expect some answers"
the warlock opened his mouth to begin some witty retort but Camax didn't spare him the time. He Rushed forward and swung his hefty blade with all his might, making a great arc that would hit all three if they didn't move quick enough. The three of them jumped backwards and Camax smirked.
where do you think you're going fellas?
"The Mountain Crumbles!"
Camax Shouted and the red gems on his blade spun into place, unlocking the pieces and allowing his blade to double it's reach. The first foe managed to get clear of the swing, but the twin blade was caught in the side and pushed away, The warlock caught the last segment of Falling Mountain Square in the chest and the Force sent him flying, his body rocketing into a red Corvette parked on the street and he was enveloped in a huge dust cloud.
"Ok Sheppard; shall we show these Nancys that no amount of prep work can prepare you for a Behemoth in a lightning storm?"

Why sointenly, kn'yuk yuk yuk.Storm Sheppard said, running full tilt toward the twin blade. It was clear that the tonfa wielding fellow was the leader of the group, and his debilitating status effects were a serious issue for Camax. The shadow warlock was, of course, a huge gun against his large friend, but he was imbedded in a Corvette for the moment and that gave Storm Sheppard some time to go on the offensive.
His target was getting to his feet as Storm Sheppard came within striking distance, which was sizable for a Flick Reaper. He skid to a stop, letting his weapon fly from his hands as it kept the moment from Storm Sheppard running over. He caught it at the last moment near the end of the shaft right before his blade and taser combo, jerking his wrist to bring the long shaft into an arc to smack his foe in the side of the head with the electrified end of Blitzkrieg. It was a low impact hit, but the goal was to keep this guy bouncing around the arena like a pinball machine. Unfortunately, the blow was blocked if only just, and the leather clad fighter tried to close the gap and get into melee range.
You gonna need to be faster than that. Storm Sheppard grinned, pulling his weapon back and planting the end he had just attacked with into the asphalt of the decrepit street, vaulting himself up as the Twin Blade came at him, striking at open are. Storm Sheppard just held himself up in a rather incredible act of personal balance, perched on the crackling tip of his weapon as it stood upright. Incoming! He shouted, coming down by pitching his weight forward with the taser pointed down. He landed full force into the middle of his opponent's back, the sparks of electricity dancing between his weapon, the poor fellow on the ground and the darkened asphalt. On Storm Sheppard's screen, numbers clicked ever higher as he 'juggled' the Twin Blade between his taser and the asphalt, racking up a massive hit combo even if he was doing no real damage. Here comes the real fun! He cackled as he was encompassed by a red light, giving his crackling eyes a more sinister look. He jumped up off his weapon, kicking it up with a twirl and catching it in the air. Lotus Flower! He swung his scythe around in a wide arc, scooping the Twin Blade off the ground and into the air as a thick line of electricity followed behind his blade. Storm Sheppard jumped into the air as well, swinging Blitzkrieg into the man like a baseball bat, and the comparison was quite apt as the leather clad man was sent home run distances into the side of a building, falling down onto the awning of a corner store before rolling off to the sidewalk. Storm Sheppard was about to continue the assault when he saw a red ring stop underneath him. He turned and ran as fast as he could back toward the red Corvette and the Shadow Warlock that had just managed to free himself. Storm Sheppard was enveloped in fire a mere four feet away from the magic caster, who looked incredibly relieved his spell went off before he was in range. The look of relief evaporated when a scythe came from the wall of fire and hooked its crackly barbed edge around the back of his neck and pulled the caster into a hell of his own making. When the fire died down, the magic that had fuelled it running out, Storm Sheppard was quick crispy looking with his clothes smouldering, sitting on top of the Shadow Warlock who was desperately reaching for the Grimoire Storm Sheppard was dangling on the end of his scythe.
That was mean, you get a time out. Storm Sheppard said matter of factly, getting up from his seat and whipping his scythe to throw the Grimoire over Camax's head so that the Shadow Warlock HAD to run towards the muscle clad man in order to retrieve his weapon. Now play nice and be in bed by nine. He said cheerfully, skipping off to try and find the Twin Blade again, see if he had changed his mind about playing this like a game instead of a grudge match. He also sent a email to Camax asking about the condition of his headset, he wanted to see if the effect had worn off, and maybe how it had been cast int he first place. Storm Sheppard was trying to put up a good front, but he was very close to half health thanks to that last spell, and avoiding status effects seemed like a good way to go.

Camax smirked to himself at Sheppards playfulness.
Good 'ol Sheppard. he thought to himself.
He stood his ground as Sheppard went to work on the three leather clad assassins, making sure to keep note of his slowly decreasing SP meter, he wouldn't be able to keep falling mountain out for too long without seriously depleting his ability to use his skills. As the grimoire landed at his feet, Camax gave his sword a slight twitch, making a small wave run through the length of the now whiplike blade. and he nodded his head backwards, taunting the warlock to come and get it. The warlock gave a nervous look and scuttled away from Sheppard towards the lumbering Edge Punisher, he began to cast another spell as he came at Camax, but Camax was ready for it this time. He brought the handle of his blade around in a circle,
"BONE CRUSHER!"
His blade came swirling around him like a hurricane of stone and wire, keeping him safe from the other two members trying to get in close, Camax gave a massive haul on the hilt and the blade straightened out colliding with the caster before he could finish his spell, sending him sailing into the second story window of a nearby shop.
That oughta keep him busy for now~ GAH!
Camax dropped to his knees with the sharp spike of pain he felt through his gut, he looked down to see a reflective image of himself that looked beat to hell greeting him a blade through his belly. His health bar gave a significant drop and Camax cursed under his breath and sent a message to Sheppard.
If I cant hear these guys coming I'm going to be screwed. Even with all the points I've spent on defense this guy took a sizable chunk from my HP. My headset is completely silent, it started when I looked into that twin blades weapons, so keep your eyes up and away from his blades Sheppard.
Camax removed himself from the blade of the weapon in his belly and turned around menacingly, he grabbed the twin blade by the head and gave him a headbutt to disorient him and tossed him aside to gain some distance.
"I've just about enough of you jerks... Sheppard, lets give 'em a taste of our raging bull technique eh? Show 'em what that minotaur fight taught us."
With that Camax deactivated Falling mountain, the blade segments retracting to once again form the massive blade, and he hunched over, bent at the waist with his head held up and kicked one foot out a couple of times, stomping at the ground he let out a snort.

Storm Sheppard was having a hard time tracking down the twin blade he had sent flying only a few moments earlier. Apparently the fella had used the time that Storm Sheppard had spent dancing with the Shadow Warlock to make a hasty exit over to Camax for some emergency stomach surgery. Still, Camax seemed in decent enough spirits about the whole ordeal, looking like he wanted to set up with the whole minotaur maneuver.
Ah that was a magical evening. It’s when I learned I could do this… Storm Sheppard said, raising his scythe up into the air. THUN-DER!! He shouted, electricity surging to the tip of his scythe as arching fingers of electricity danced around to the street lights and nearby cars. Glass bulbs shattered over head and sparkplugs popped like fire crackers under the steel hoods as dark storm clouds formed high in the night sky. Storm Sheppard rushed forward as fast as his feet could carry him, and his feet could carry him plenty quick. He made a jumping leap to landing on the opposite side of Camax, scythe held out behind him much like Camax held Falling Mountain. The three leather clad foes were lined up like three pins just waiting to be knocked down, which Storm Sheppard was all to happy to oblige. Storm Sheppard let out a loud cry of glee, bringing his scythe around to scissor the trio between Blitzkrieg and Falling Mountain in a pincer attack. Rare was the individual that could sustain a direct hit from this and walk away, but somewhere in his heart of slightly insane hearts did Storm Sheppard hope these guys would make the fun continue.
