The two monsters left in Kimimela’s battle ring decided to team up and were side by side in a defensive position. Staring her down, they didn’t budge. It’s amazing how good the A.I. is with some of these guys, but only when it really doesn’t matter. ” You’re gonna play it, that way, huh? Well I was going to save my spells for something bigger, but you asked for it!” growled Kim as she then powered up her Zan Rom spell. Her fans grew a bright as she crisscrossed them across her chest. Two ethereal balls of energy flew from her fans and, touching the ground, burst into two tornadoes about the same size as the Macabre Dancer. The windy demons Twisted and made lots of dust fly in the air so Kim covered her eyes until the two hit their targets. After, she looked and with much satisfaction saw that their health bars were in the red and they were running around like idiots from the confusion. She quickly took care of their remaining hit points with a few quick flicks of her fan.
As they disappeared into cyberspace and the battle field disappeared, Kimimela did the usual treasure booting and chim punting. Man, I really need a party. “Hey there, little guy,” Kim said to the one last little chim who was happily using its bouncy buttocks as a trampoline. Kim sighed. “Well, kiddo, I wish I could be as happy as you by myself but I’m really not.” Kim got up and started heading towards the last room, which housed a Boss. She loved playing boss levels but the fights took forever because she’s alone. “I like to socialize, you know? I like to be able to contribute to something. Games are always more fun if you are with other people. Know what I mean, Chim?” The bouncing little ball of Chim stared up at her, following her like he was a little lost duckling and had mistaken her for mommy. “ Well, little guy, it’s time to go. Mommy has work to do in the other room. It was nice to talk to you, though.” said Kimimela in a cooing voice. She patted the guy in the head and, standing up, gave it a swift kick in the belly. He poofed out of existence. Now for the real challenge…

Kimimela walked out onto the last island of the field. She saw the boss in front of her and one she got into target range, saw the name of said boss. Knuckleman. Great. O well, it's the only way I'm going to get experience alone so...
Kim snuck around back and, with as much speed as she could muster, pounced onto the giant steel hulk. It did ten damage and the guy didn't budge. As the battle field came up, Kim doubted her decision to take on the boss of this level. Well, I can't back out now, I have no smoke screens. With that she started her buffing, first putting the bosses physical attack down and buffing her own attack and magic attack. With that, she started her attack. She circled and stabbed. She suddenly saw the red circles started emanating from the monster and quickly backed up, just in time to dodge his special attack. She went back in, her combo getting to fifteen, eighteen, twenty. Come one, come on! Come ON! Kim faught with ferocity at the anger with this creatures impenetrable defenses. Her hits so far have not been doing over two damage, and its shell was still almost full. She hit him for twenty-seven and the blessed rengeki rings came to her rescue.

“Rengeki! Zan Rom!” She yelled in-game, and with a flurry of fans, the twisters hit home. The armor, amazingly, got down to one-half. But, at the same time, her buffs wore off. Damn it! Still have six hundred HP and half of his armour to go... She rebuffed, and as she cast the last one, he got her with his special, rendering her last spell useless. Cathy and Kim's temper both rose as this. As soon as she recast the spell, she went in and hacked away again. She tried aiming for his armour and hitting it as hard as she could. She aimed for the buckles and the joints especially. Thank goodness for her tactics, his armour gauge was slowly going down. With another rengeki the armour fell off and she saw all the beautifully vulnerable body underneath. Now she could really start hurting. She swiped hard and fast. She dodged out of the way of another of his spin-attacks, but he caught her by a hair, ruining her combo.
Now, we won't be having THAT again now will we? She ran around back and hacked at his achilles tendons with her razor-sharp blade. Her cuts may not be able to cut deep enough to do heavy damage, but with a carefully placed attack she can easily disable her opponents. Blunter swords wouldn't work but her fans effectively cut through the backs of his tendons. The hulking creature fell to his knees and the shake caught her off guard. He smashed her with his fists, big enough to engulph her enire body, and her health sped down to twenty five, from a previous one hundred fifty.

Aaak! She ran quickly out of range of the now-disabled monster and quickly healed. I'm so glad I cannot feel pain... I'm so glad I cannot feel pain... She quickly got back up to her max HP and went back out, careful of his lethal fists now easily in range of her. She looked at her SP, and saw only enough of it for two more rengekis. Let's hope that's enough... She went around to his back and started hitting. She was still having trouble timing the two fans to be able to hit successively, one after another. But when this big of a creature in on his knees, it was easy to get hits in while he tried turning around with little success. She got to twenty seven and let out another torrent of Zan Rom. With his armour off, her magic was much more successful. Two hundred more HP to go.
Her buffs wore off again, and she only bothered to put back on her magic boost for her last rengeki. She jumped on his back and, when she saw the rapid attack option start flashing on her screen, she let her fans wreak havoc on the knuckleman's back as she ran down it to jump off to safety. The circles popped up as she let out one more normal attack and her rengeki put his HP down to eighty. All right. Last leg. Let's do this. She dodged an attack from the giant and then went at his side as hard as she could. When his health was down to forty, she used her last of her SP on a normal Zan Rom. Please let this kill him... She stoof and watch the tornadoes do five hits of eight damage, and the monster collapsed and disappeared into a cloud of blackness. After leaving the area, Cathy logged out and took her headset off. Wow. Never soloing a boss again. Ever.
