I would just like to get the general feeling about the color coding convention. If you have a suggestion, please reply and help us out.

I like leaving my normal text as is a coloring my Speech and thought only. Also I like to use colors that match my character in some way. Meress as an example, He has Teal eyes. I'd use Teal coloring for his speech and normal green for his thought. I tested both colors on the two skins on the site and they work. That is my opinion.

Well, I'm kind of against colour coding at all myself, but I can see how it's useful. I agree with Meress that only speech and thought need to be coloured. The red on green really hurts my eyes after a while.
I think that if we're going to keep colour coding that we should all have the same colours though. It makes it easier to look in previous posts and know whether something is a thought or dialogue if we're all using the same colours.
So, one vote for having regular narritive plain white from me!

alright, since it appears that there are a few problesm with the red base text. Looks like we'll have to change it. the question is wheather to change it to a new color (pink and cyan look promising) or to leave it white. Leaving it white seems easiest beacuse not everyone own a G15 keybard with programmable macros like me and it therefore saves time and is still easy to read if it is left white. however I do want everyone to use the same color coding because the pointof it is so that everyone knows what colors mean what, no matter whos post you're looking at.

I always mark speech with "Speech" and thought like so...
Its a system I've used forever and this is the 1st time I have seen a board that doesn't use it.

*shrugs* I guess it's more for easier replying than anything. I can see where he's coming from with the colour coding.
The majority of my rping has been on gaia, where colour coding doesn't really matter because it's a regular old white background.
If we have to replace the red with something other than white, my vote would be with cyan, but I'd prefer no colour coding for narritive.

all right, as it appears that color coding is mostly a pain in the ass, it is being Done away with!
if you prefer color coding then please still use it. but as long as other members are able to understand what you are writing then you should be fine. the most common way to do this is that descriptive text is normal, inner thoughts are italicized and speech is in "quotation marks"
