Guilds are groups of people who adventure together under the same banner. If you would like to start a guild just PM a mod and they will make a thread for you in the @home section. Every guild receives its own grunty(who is styled similar to the owner) their own @home and, the ability to have a guild shop.
All guilds start out being located in Mac Anu, but the leader and other members can complete quests to upgrade it and move it to another town. If you wish to upgrade your @home please PM a mod.
